Tapelia is originally from Alicante (Valencia province) and has now grown into a national chain that puts a creative twist on the traditional paella, for the adventurous. This arroceria ("ricery") will offer you a good 15-20 kinds of paella if you are bored of the usual seafood and vegetables - there is even a paella with deer. In addition you will find a few creative meat dishes and a wide range of starters and salads. The venue is also arty - stonework walls with intimate lighting, designer ceiling lights and artworks, combined with a mellow jazz soundtrack, will appeal to a person with taste. There are many small tables close together and quite a few people, yet somehow it is a curious blend of the communal and the intimate. You can also have a take-away paella!
