Getting from the Airport

The metro line to the aiport has just been completed and this is now the easiest way to and fro the airport, plus the cheapest - 1.70€.

Alternatively, and if you don't want to take a taxi (15-18 euros to the centre), you can catch the bus shuttle. Once you are out of the departures, walk up the stairs to the upper floor of the airport and come out of the front entrance. Immediately to the right of you will be a bus stop. Don't take yellow buses - take the blue one. It goes every 20 min from 6am to 10pm everyday, and costs 2.50€. The bus will take you allmost to the centre in 20 minutes - just behind the train station. From there you can walk into the centre or catch the metro nearby (station Bailen, green line south)

The metro line to the aiport has just been completed and this is now the easiest way to and fro the airport, plus the cheapest - 1.70€.

The above in the reverse order. You can arrive to the bus stop behind the train station by walking or by metro (station Bailen, green line south). The bus stop is right over the major traffic underpass of Gran Via Germainias that crosses the railtracks to come out at Plaza Espana. The stop is on top of the western exit of the tunnel.

If you are here during the Fallas, you will find many streets cordoned off, including this one. The shuttle will stop before getting there - check with the Tourist Office.

The buses cost 2.50€, take 20-25 min to get to the airport, and go every day from 6pm to 10am. They are scheduled for every hour at .10 minutes, .30 minutes and .50 minutes, with the exception of 6.10am and 9.50pm (replaced by 6.00am and 10.00pm respectively).
