Eating During 32nd America's CupEating hoursThe restaurants usually open from 1.30pm (2pm to be safe) to 4.30pm-5pm (although some will go only until 3.30pm). Then they close until 8 or 9 pm. Yes, the Spanish dine late. The restaurants will close again at around 11-11.30 on weekdays and midnight or 1 am on weekends. Be aware that the kitchen will start rolling down about an hour before the times above. Paella important point: if you want a fresh paella to be cooked for you keep in mind that most places will only cook for two persons, and it will take them around 30 min. Don't worry if the menu is only in Spanish - someone in a restaurant usually has sufficient English to help. Restaurants in the PortAmerica'Cup Port has a good selection of upmarket restaurants where you can have a range of international cuisine in elegant envirnoment while enjoying the Mediterranean breeze during the 32nd America's Cup. Most of the restaurants are in the central Veles i Vents building of the park of the America's Cup Port, and around the building. Restaurants on the BeachFor something more typically Valencian, walk to the beach which is adjacent right next to the America's cup Port - Playa de las Arenas. Valencia is famous for being the birthplace of paella and other typical rice dishes. And this beach is the most well-known place in Valencia for trying those dishes, with some legendary names of national fame.
Tapas BarsTapas will be available in quite a few places in both of the areas described above. However, the maritime distict of Cabanyal, just a few meteres away from the Northern part of the America's Cup Port, hosts two very special tapas bars, nationall famous for their exquisite tapas.
