This Falla mocks the Fallas themselves - how everyone is making a
"biggest falla ever" (an obvious reference to this year's "tallest
ever" fallas of Nou Campanar). There is a lot of discomfort with how
commercial the Fallas are becoming. This one makes "more than 50 metres
of falla" from 50 meter-long sticks. |
...and just so that you can see this falla and not the sticks, the
optician has various eye-balls to suit the required vision. |
An abstract falla about... a kiss. This kind of kiss, that kind of
kiss, a kiss of betrayal, a kiss of death, etc. |
No festival of satire can exist without everyone's favourite. |
