is a megastore specializing in books, music, movies, computer games,
etc. Perhaps not the cheapest, but very reasonable, and sure to
have whatever you are looking for. One-stop for books. Close to
the train station.

Corte Ingles is the most well known department store in Spain.
They sell absolutely everything, from clothes to furniture, from
books to electronics. All of the stores, apart from the Colon 1,
also have a supermarket which, according to WinesOfValencia ,
is by far the best supermarket to get some Valencian wines.
El Corte Ingles has a real presence in Spain, often engaging in
social work and sponsorship of events. You won't see anything happening
in Valencia without the participation of El Corte Ingles. However,
their prices are sikeningly high, so if you are not prepared to
spend generously, go elsewhere.

huge one-stop superstore where you can find absoultely anything at
a very reasonable price and quality. If you need something specific
and you don't know where in Valencia to find it, just come here. One
is located inside the El Saler shopping mall. The other one is at
the Western end of the Turia garden, slightly closer to the centre.
Media
Markt is the answer to all your computer needs, as well as other
electronics. A huge selection, sure to have whatever you need at
standard average prices. Not central but very easu to get to by
metro.
