A little out of the way but easy to get to and totally worth it. This is an incredible museum, created by the best of Valencian historians, taking an original approach. Instead of putting on display a load of epoch items (the actual item collection is quite small) it tells the big picture, the story of the last 2000 years in all its fluidity, through a variety of cutting edge multimedia and computer generations. There is, for example, a variety of booths into which you step in to submerge yourself in the ambience of an era and watch costumed episodes where the historians dress up as real historical characters and socialiaze, argue and chat with utmost sense of reality. In addition to this, there is another Time Machine - an incredible CGI installation which makes Valencia grow and develop right before your eyes, at the turn of the wheel, also packed with snippets of information and explanation of what you see - buildings, structures, society, customs. All in all, a very profound and informative museum that lets you awe at the complex and multi-cultural entire history of Valencia

Guides - 1/2 tour in Sp, mornings only. Included in the ticket, so on free days you still have to pay. The tour is worth it - the guide won't tell you what you can later see yourself, he will use this time to tell you other interesting facts.

Getting There:
Very easy - metro station Nou d'Octubre (gree line West) takes you within a 1-2 min walk to the museum, and it takes 10 min to arrive from the centre.
