Finnegan's is a high profile Irish pub in Carmen, located right on the main tourist drag of Valencia - Plaza de la Reina. It is a large, lavish place with a heavy Irish theme, going more towards posh than cosy. With a location like this it inevitably attracts Bristish tourists and ex-pats, not as much as you would expect, however, with the majority of regulars being weekender mixed-age Spaniards of a more neat upmarketr type. Never much kicking off into a thorough social mix, it is best enjoyed with friends of your own. Hard times for smokers - only a few tables. Since it is not much of a party, the main attraction here is the fame for being an Irish pub - hence attracting the Brits / Irish - if you like that kind of thing. |
